Poverty Facts

Half of the world over three billion people lives on less than 2.50 dollar a day.80% of the humanity survives on less than 10 dollar a day. 
Poorest 40% of the world's population accounts for 5 percent only of the global income.20 percent of the richest people account for three quarters of world income.
About 824 million people of world go hungry or have a lacking food supply and almost 500 million of them suffer from disease called chronic malnutrition.Around 27 to 28 percent of all children are estimated to be stunned or underweight.More than 100 million children never attended school due to the level of poverty,230 million children have no access to their secondary education and almost 250 million children work to pay for their own needs or for their families.Less than 1 percent of what the world spent every year on weapons was needed to put every child to school but id didn't happen.
All around the world 1.6 billion people have no access to drinking water.Almost 1.8 billion people have an access to water source within 1 kilometer not in their house or yard.Millions of women have to spend the whole day in collecting water due to it's deficiency.Due to it's deficiency people suffer from many diseases and health problems.
In industrialized countries 100 million people live below the poverty line,almost 37 million people are jobless and more than 5 million have no home.
Almost 1.6 billion people in world live without electricity.

  1. In south Asia 706 million people are without electricity.
  2. In Sub Saharan Africa 547 million people are without electricity.
  3. In East Asia 224 million are without electricity.
  4. And in remaining part 101 million people are without electricity.
In the world more than 840 million adults are illiterate and 65% of them are women.
Almost 640 children are without proper shelter,400 million are without no access to water and 2 million with no access to health services.Over time poverty level is falling but very slowly.
   

Poverty is now no longer impossible it can be avoided.
